Leverage varies over time, targeting approximately 3x under normal conditions. xBTC is backed through Hylo’s BTC collateral pool using cbBTC, which is backed 1:1 by Bitcoin. xBTC holders pay a variable borrow rate that is reflected in the token’s value.
